ALBANY,GA. — While much of the nation continues to experience sagging home sales, local realtors say Southwest Georgia’s buying market is doing more than holding its own. Realtors say spring is the top season to buy a new home and many local offices say their running out of inventory.

Housing agents advise new buyers to first meet with their local bank to discuss a budget they can afford. Then many home buyers hit the internet to search the market.

The biggest tip local real estate agents said they had was to invest in a home inspection so possible problems can be addressed and planned for in the future.
